Every January, writers make the same promise: This is the year I finish the book. And soon after, the promise slips under a heap of work, errands, and good intentions.

Resolution 2027 is a month-long writing challenge for anyone ready to build a solid writing habit and start the year with serious momentum. Every morning in January, we’ll meet on Zoom and write together for an hour. That's it! Just a committed group clacking keyboards together.
How it works
Each session opens with a quick round where everyone states their goal for the day: a word count, a scene, a turning point, whatever. Then we hit mute, put our heads down, and write for a full hour.
We will close each session with a writing quote to ponder for the rest of your day. Also, the Zoom room will stay open for another 30 minutes for anyone who wants to stick around, compare notes, celebrate a breakthrough, commiserate... or gossip??
This will take place every single day, weekends too, from Jan 2 to 31 starting at 7:00 AM Pacific time (10:00 AM Eastern).
The community
Writing is solitary work, but it doesn’t have to be lonely. Over the month, you’ll get to know a small group of writers who show up for each other every day. When your fellow writers expect to see you, it gets a lot harder to skip.
We’ll kick things off on January 2 with a meet-and-greet, so everyone can say hey, share what we’re working on, and set our goals for the month. And on January 31, we’ll gather for a virtual tea and coffee party to celebrate how far everyone has come.
Who it’s for
Novelists, memoirists, short story writers, and anyone else with a project that deserves some commitment. Start something new, return to a manuscript you set aside, finish your epic work-in-progress, or push through a revision. All that’s required is that you show up.
